Motherhood Village Ltd is the Gold Coast’s first and only established peer-led perinatal mental health support service.
Founded in response to a critical gap in care, the organisation provides free, in-person, lived experience peer support to mothers and families navigating mental health challenges during pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.
Motherhood Village works in close collaboration with Gold Coast Health, local hospitals, psychologists, and national mental health organisations to deliver non-clinical, early intervention that complements clinical care.
With a focus on connection, validation, and tailored mental health support group programs, Motherhood Village has become a trusted grassroots service supporting hundreds of families each year through its trauma-informed, community-embedded model.
Tracey Tyley is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Motherhood Village Ltd.
Drawing on her professional background in accounting and auditing, as well as training from COPE, PANDA, and the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, Tracey leads Motherhood Village with a unique blend of strategic insight and deep empathy.
Her leadership has earned recognition in Queensland Parliament, and she is a passionate advocate for lived experience care, choice in service delivery, and meaningful partnerships between community and clinical providers. Tracey is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA).
